A vigerous protest is underway about the closing of libraries in Essex. Those on benefits need access to libraries to use their It and to research the jobs market.

A protest and celebration of our libraries is taking place, with a carnival style procession through the streets of our county town, ending with music and entertainment outside the Essex County Council HQ. Come dressed up as your favourite book character and enjoy the party.
