Citizens Advice Bureau
A wonderful and free resource for those seeking general advice; a good step in understanding and tackling financial and legal issues, with both an online presence and over 3500 bureaux across the country.
Maryhill & Possilpark Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity founded in 1981. We specialise in providing free, impartial and confidential information and advice services on issues ranging from debt, benefits, and welfare rights to consumer rights, finances and budgeting support.
We provide free, confidential and impartial advice. Our goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face.
People come to us with all sorts of issues. You may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems. You may be facing a crisis, or just considering your options.
We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives. We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.
During 2012/13 we helped 2.1 million people to solve 6.6 million problems. Citizens Advice Bureaux deliver advice services from over 3,300 community locations in England and Wales, run by 338 individual charities. Citizens Advice itself is also a registered charity and is also the membership organisation for bureaux. Together we are the Citizens Advice service.
