The Guardian reports that the Cabinet are set to press ahead with plans to shore up the rights of gig economy workers, implementing several main recommendations of the Taylor Review into modern employment practices.

The proposals could include introducing a new right to demand a temporary or fixed-hours contract, as well as clarifying the criteria around self-employment.
