Police Hunt Man Who Kicked in Door at Benefits Assessment Centre in Barrow

Police are investigating after a man smashed a glass door at a benefits assessment centre in Barrow.

A glass door has been smashed at the PIP centre in Dalton Road.

The door at the PIP centre in Dalton Road was reported damaged at 11.52am this morning. The building is used by staff who assess applicants for Personal Independence Payments.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) replaced Disability Living Allowance (DLA) when it was introduced in 2012. The welfare benefit is aimed at people who have an illness, disability or mental health condition.
