London & South East Takes Bigger Share of The Economy
Wednesday 10 May, 2017 Written by Simon CollyerLondon and South East England are set to account for 40 percent of the economy by the end of the next parliament’s mandate, said Britain’s trade union body TUC in a written statement. That’s up from 37.5 percent in 2015 and 33 percent in 1997, and a sign of an unbalanced economy according to TUC. London alone now accounts for 25 percent of the entire economy (with just 15 percent of the population).
