It’s been a brutal 2016 for Europe’s farmers, report “Hundreds of thousands of turkeys and ducks are being culled because of bird flu and, in good news for kids, larvae of pesticide-resistant moths are devouring Brussels sprouts.
In fact, the whole smorgasbord of Christmas fare — from Champagne to chocolates in advent calendars — has run into trouble this year.”
