Anxiety UK is a national registered charity (number 1113403) (company number 5551121) formed in 1970 by someone living with agoraphobia for those affected by anxiety disorders. Today we are still a user-led organisation, run by people with experience of living with anxiety or anxiety-based depression, supported by a high-profile medical advisory panel.
SANE is a UK-wide charity working to improve quality of life for people affected by mental illness. SANE has three main objectives linked to our aims and outcomes:
1. to raise awareness and combat stigma about mental illness, educating and campaigning to improve mental health services
2. to provide care and emotional support for people with mental health problems, their families and carers as well as information for other organisations and the public
3. to initiate research into the causes and treatments of serious mental illness such as schizophrenia and depression and the psychological and social impact of mental illness.
Cancer could be dragged for a lifetime and there are ways with the emerging technology where it could be cured if diagonised at an early stage. There are charitable trusts and organisations that support families and individuals at such times both monetarily and support services including counselling.
Cancer is life threatening and kills the person/ individual both mentally and physically. It is very important that cancer is detected at an early stage and that the symptoms are well adhered to. A surgery or chemotherapy is not an option always especially if they are not adults yet. Cancer treatements are quite expensive to be afforded by families or individuals that do not have a good earning. There are however a few organisations that support cancer patients and provide affordable treatements and other support assistance.
Tom felt that the focus of his legacy should fall on three key areas – physical and emotional support and research. Each of these areas plays a significant part in a cancer diagnosis and the journey that follows.
Our founding principles are:
Health in Mind is run by Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Colchester Mind. Together we use our expertise to offer a wide range of talking treatments (sometimes called 'psychological therapies') to help people with a variety of different mental health problems. We help people living in and around Colchester and Tendring with a variety of different mental health problems, such as:
- Mood problems e.g Low self-esteem, Depression or Interpersonal problems
- Anxiety e.g. Phobias, Panic Attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety and Shyness, Health Anxiety or Excessive Worries
- Traumatic Stress
Through clinical commissioning, primary care clinicians will take the lead in working with patients and health experts to decide what range of services are needed for their local population. With the support of partner organisations, such as the County Council and local councils, the Clinical Commissioning Group must make sure that the way that we describe what health services need to deliver in terms of quality, patient experience and health outcomes allows provider organisations to deliver the service in the most efficient and cost effective way, so that we can be accountable to the Secretary of State and our local population for how we spend our limited resources.
Autism Anglia is dedicated to promoting the welfare, education and care of children and adults, whilst also supporting the many families affected by autism.
We have over 40 years' experience in providing a range of services aimed at enabling people with autism to live as independently as possible and to experience choice and inclusion in society.
Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE) is a multi-award winning organisation, providing a wide range of high quality NHS Community Health Services to the population of North East Essex.
We also provide Learning Disabilities Therapy, some Specialist Nursing and Health and Well-Being Services in North Essex (covering North East Essex, Mid Essex and West Essex). ACE is a social enterprise, limited by shares and employee owned and we have a history of safe, efficient service delivery.
Ampersand is here to support and assist men who have been sexually abused in childhood or as adults.
Ampersand provides a confidential face to face counselling service to men who have been sexually abused or sexually assaulted either as children or adults.It offers a safe and confidential space where mens' voices can be heard.
Qualified counsellors will listen to their concerns offering a supportive environment that assists them through the counselling process.It is hoped that through this process they will be empowered to improve their quality of life and find a way forward to a more positive future.
