We've been working with children in the UK since the 1920s. Today, we continue to tackle child poverty here at home through a range of programmes and campaigns. In 2015 we helped 20,000 children through our education programmes and our work to give families the basics they need.
Families and School Together (FAST)
Families and Schools Together (FAST) is an award-winning programme that supports parents to improve children's learning and development at home, so they can reach their full potential at school.
Eat Sleep Learn and Play
Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play! provides families on low incomes with household essentials, like a child's bed, a family cooker or educational books and toys. We've helped more than 40,000 children so far.
Born to Read
Our partnership with Beanstalk is giving poorer children in England the reading skills they need for a better future. Born to Read will provide 8,000 reading helpers for 23,000 pupils in deprived parts of the country.
UK Emergenices
We aim to ensure the needs of children are met before, during and after emergencies in the UK. We also work to increase the resilience of children and families and ensure that their voices are heard.
