Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government - Housing and Brexit Gets Beefed Up

No. 10 is stressing that housing will be a key focus, with another beefed-up ministerial role to be created today following yesterday’s rebranding of DCLG as the ministry of housing, communities and local government. And there has been no sign yet of the “Cabinet minister for no deal” role within the Brexit department that was splashed across the Telegraph’s front page yesterday. Possibly it will be announced within the next few hours — though the Cabinet is due to meet at 9.30 a.m., so they’d better get on with it. Or, as one Labour wag texts to say, “perhaps a no-deal minister is worse than a bad-deal minister?”
